Learning and Development

Continuous learning and professional development are key to successful company growth and competitive resilience. While learning and ongoing professional development practices vary across the Group's companies, the same core principles are applied to encourage our employees' professional growth. Various training methods are used across our companies, including e-learning, supervision, mentorship, in-person training, external training, and more. These methods aim to provide our employees with the resources needed to realize their potential.

In 2024, MAXIMA LT launched an internal initiative called ‘Maximanija,’ aimed at gaining a better understanding of store operations and promoting continuous improvement. All head office employees participate in training and work at store checkouts for three days each year. A similar initiative was implemented at MAXIMA GRUPĖ, UAB in the first half of 2024.

In 2024, the 13th ‘STOKROTKA Express Manager’ (SME) development program was launched in Poland. The program aims to develop employees’ competencies for promotion to regional manager positions. It is intended for individuals seeking to improve their skills. As part of the program, selected store managers participate in various training sessions preparing them for the role of Regional Manager. The program lasts 5 months.

In July 2024, Latvia introduced a store managers’ development program ‘Think – Act – Inspire’ (Domā – Dari – Iedvesmo), aimed at strengthening store managers’ skills with a focus on strategic thinking, operational efficiency, and inspiring leadership. The two-day individual training program is designed to enable managers to think more broadly, act consciously, and inspire their teams, thereby improving store operations, increasing customer satisfaction, and fostering a positive workplace environment.
